TURIN, Italy - The 2022 Nitto ATP Finals reached a thrilling conclusion, with Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud advancing to the semifinals. Zverev, who won all three of his group matches, secured his place at the top of Group B. Rublev, meanwhile, earned a hard-fought victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime to qualify as the runner-up from Group A.
Zverev Dominates Group Stage
Zverev was in imperious form throughout the group stage, winning each of his matches in straight sets. Rublev's path to the semifinals was more challenging, but the Russian ultimately proved his mettle. After losing his opening match to Daniil Medvedev, Rublev bounced back with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Hubert Hurkacz. In the decisive match against Auger-Aliassime, Rublev rallied from a set down to prevail 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 and secure his berth in the last four.
