Denzel Washington to Star in ‘Black Panther 3’
Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in ‘Black Panther 3,’ according to sources close to the production.
Washington, who has won two Academy Awards for his acting, is said to be in talks to play a key role in the upcoming film, which is scheduled to begin production in 2023.
Washington’s involvement in ‘Black Panther 3’ would be a major coup for Marvel, as he is one of the most respected and acclaimed actors in Hollywood.
The actor is known for his powerful performances in films such as ‘Glory,’ ‘Malcolm X,’ and ‘Training Day.’
‘Black Panther 3’ is expected to continue the story of T’Challa, the king of Wakanda, who was played by the late Chadwick Boseman in the first two films.
Boseman died in 2020 after a battle with cancer, and Marvel has said that they will not recast the role.
It is unclear what role Washington will play in ‘Black Panther 3,’ but sources say that it will be a major one.
Marvel is expected to make an official announcement about Washington’s casting in the coming weeks.
‘Black Panther 3’ is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 6, 2024.
