Second-year wideout says team is ‘ready to shock the world’ in Week 15 matchup

Washington-born Dotson looks to prove himself against hometown team

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson has issued a bold statement ahead of his team's Week 15 matchup against the Washington Commanders, saying the Eagles are "ready to shock the world" and avenge their earlier loss to their division rivals.

Dotson, who was born and raised in Washington, D.C., is expected to play a key role in the Eagles' offense on Sunday. He has emerged as one of quarterback Jalen Hurts' favorite targets this season, catching 41 passes for 542 yards and six touchdowns.

The Eagles lost to the Commanders in Week 3, but Dotson believes his team has what it takes to get the job done this time around. "We're a different team now than we were in Week 3," Dotson said. "We're more confident, we're more experienced, and we're ready to show the world what we can do."

Dotson is also motivated by the fact that he will be playing against his hometown team. "I grew up watching the Redskins, so this game means a lot to me," Dotson said. "I want to show them that I can play with the best of the best."

The Eagles are currently 10-3 and in first place in the NFC East. The Commanders are 7-5-1 and in second place. A win on Sunday would give the Eagles a three-game lead over the Commanders with just four games remaining in the regular season.

The Eagles and Commanders will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at FedExField in Landover, Maryland.
