Twente triumphs over HSV with 0-3 victory

On Saturday evening, FC Twente secured a convincing 0-3 victory against German club HSV in a pre-season friendly match played in Meppen, Germany.

The Dutch Eredivisie side put on a dominant performance against the German second division team, with goals coming from Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Joshua Brenet, and Virgil Misidjan.

Van Wolfswinkel opens the scoring

FC Twente took an early lead in the 10th minute when Ricky van Wolfswinkel capitalized on a defensive error by HSV to slot the ball into the net.

The visitors continued to press forward and doubled their advantage in the 25th minute when Joshua Brenet fired a low drive into the bottom corner from just outside the area.

Misidjan adds to the lead

Virgil Misidjan sealed the victory for FC Twente in the 60th minute with a composed finish after a mazy run into the HSV penalty area.

The win gives Ron Jans' side a boost ahead of the new Eredivisie season, which begins on August 12th.
