Wolfsburg gradually grew into the game and leveled the scores in the 27th minute when Pajor headed home from a corner. The German side continued to press for a winner and got their reward in the 70th minute when Roord fired home from the edge of the area.
Galatasaray pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages but were unable to find a way past the Wolfsburg defense. The result leaves Wolfsburg top of Group D with six points from two games, while Galatasaray are bottom with no points.

Galatasaray manager Edwin van der Sar said: "I am disappointed with the result, but I am proud of my players. They played with a lot of heart and determination, and they created some good chances. We just need to be more clinical in front of goal."
Wolfsburg manager Stephan Lerch said: "I am very happy with the win. We knew that Galatasaray would be a tough opponent, but we showed great character to come back from behind and win the game. We are now in a strong position in the group and we will look to build on this in our next game."
