Goudhaantje Steijn continued his impressive goalscoring form for FC Twente with a well-taken finish in a friendly against German giants Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

The 22-year-old forward, who has been in scintillating form for the Enschede-based club this season, fired home a clinical low drive into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Steijn's goal gave Twente a surprise lead against their illustrious opponents, who fielded a strong side featuring several full internationals.

The Dutch side held their own against the Bundesliga outfit, with Steijn causing the Dortmund defense problems throughout the contest.

The young forward's performance will have pleased Twente head coach Ron Jans, who has been impressed with Steijn's progress since joining the club from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

Steijn has now scored five goals in seven appearances for Twente this season, and his form is likely to attract interest from bigger clubs in the coming months.
