Fritz takes the first set

Germany's Peter Gojowczyk made a strong start to the match, breaking Sinner's serve in the very first game. He then held his own serve to take a 2-0 lead. Sinner hit back immediately, breaking Gojowczyk's serve to love to get back on level terms. However, Gojowczyk broke Sinner's serve once again in the seventh game and served out the set to take it 6-3.

Sinner fights back to take the second set

Sinner started the second set much better than he had the first, breaking Gojowczyk's serve in the very first game. He then held his own serve to take a 2-0 lead. Gojowczyk broke back in the fourth game, but Sinner broke straight back in the fifth game to take a 3-2 lead. Sinner then held his own serve and broke Gojowczyk's serve once again to take the set 6-3.

Sinner wins the third set in a tie-break

The third set was a much closer affair, with both players holding their serve until the tie-break. Sinner won the tie-break 7-5 to take the set and the match.

Sinner's second win in Turin

This was Sinner's second win in Turin, having also won the Next Gen ATP Finals in 2019. He is now through to the semi-finals of the tournament, where he will face either Lorenzo Sonego or Jannik Sinner.
