Langston Reynolds Scores 21 Points As Northern Colorado Coasts to 75-55 Win Over Colorado College in Season Opener
Northern Colorado Off to a Fast Start
Northern Colorado picked up its first win of the season as Langston Reynolds turned in a 21-point performance to lead the Bears past Colorado College, 75-55, Monday night in Greeley.
The win sends Northern Colorado to 1-0 on the young season while Colorado College opens at 0-1.
Reynolds was 7-of-14 from the field for the Bears, including a 5-of-9 clip from three-point range, and added six rebounds and three assists.
Balanced Offensive Attack
Daylen Kountz added 14 points, Bodie Hume had 13 points and Dalton Knecht scored 12 points for the Bears.
Northern Colorado shot 43.9% from the field, including 12-of-28 (42.9%) from beyond the arc.
The Bears also forced 14 turnovers and turned those into 18 points.
Colorado College Struggles
Colorado College was led by Jackson Smith IV, who had 15 points. Deven Dahlberg added 14.
The Tigers shot just 34.4% from the field and were 5-of-22 (22.7%) from three-point range.
Colorado College also got outrebounded 38-29.
The Bears will return to action on Friday when they host Colorado Christian at 7 p.m.
Colorado College will play its home opener on Friday when it hosts Fort Lewis at 7 p.m.
