No. 3 UConn rout Le Moyne, 90-49, in non-conference play
UConn dominates from the start
No. 3 UConn cruised to a 90-49 victory over Le Moyne College in non-conference play on Sunday afternoon at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
The Huskies (10-0) were led by sophomore guard Paige Bueckers, who had 20 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. Junior forward Aaliyah Edwards added 18 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.
UConn led by just 11 points at halftime, but the Huskies opened up the game in the second half, outscoring Le Moyne (2-6) by 20 points in the third quarter.
Le Moyne fights back
Le Moyne briefly cut the lead to 10 points early in the third quarter, but UConn responded with a 14-0 run to take control of the game.
The Dolphins were led by senior guard Colleen Corcoran, who had 13 points. Junior forward Emma Manners added 12 points.
UConn cruises to victory
UConn led by as many as 43 points in the fourth quarter before settling for the 90-49 victory.
The Huskies shot 47.4% from the field, while Le Moyne shot just 31.1%. UConn also outrebounded Le Moyne 50-28.
With the win, UConn remains undefeated on the season. The Huskies will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 21, when they host No. 1 South Carolina.
