P2000 message sent in Oldenzaal and Denekamp

Tuesday evening around 7:30 pm, a P2000 message was sent in Oldenzaal and Denekamp. This is a message sent by the police to request immediate assistance.

It concerned a search for a missing person in the Oldenzaal and Denekamp area who was possibly armed.

Multiple police officers on the move

Following the message, many police officers, including dog handlers, were deployed in and around Oldenzaal and Denekamp.

There was also a helicopter in the air in search of the missing person. The search was initially focused on the area around the Hof Espelo estate in Oldenzaal.

Area closed off

The police closed off the area around the Hof Espelo estate in Oldenzaal. They also searched several homes in the area.

It is not known whether the missing person has been found. The police have not released any further information for the time being.
