Gillespie was particularly impressed with the way Shah and Rauf bowled in tandem.

"They're both very different bowlers, but they complement each other really well," Gillespie said.

"Naseem is a tall, fast bowler who can generate a lot of pace and bounce, while Haris is a shorter, skiddy bowler who can swing the ball both ways.

"When you put those two together, it makes it very difficult for batsmen to score runs.

Gillespie also praised the duo's attitudes and work ethic.

"They're both very hungry players who are always looking to improve," Gillespie said.

"They're always asking questions and they're always willing to put in the hard work.

"I'm very excited to see what they can achieve in the future.

Shah and Rauf's performances in the Test series against England have cemented their places in the Pakistan team.

The duo are now seen as two of the most promising young fast bowlers in the world.
