Police shoot confused woman in leg in Amsterdam-East

Police officers shot a confused woman in her leg in Amsterdam-East on Tuesday evening after she threatened them with a knife.

The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened on the Molukkenstraat around 7:45 pm. According to the police, the woman was acting strangely and had a knife in her hand. She threatened the officers, who then fired a warning shot.
