Huskies improve to 2-0 on the young season
The Washington Huskies women's basketball team rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat the Seattle Pacific Falcons 77-62 on Sunday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Senior guard Kamie Ethridge led the way for the Huskies with 25 points, while junior forward Quayla Ramey added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tameiya Sadler also chipped in with 12 points.
The Huskies trailed 34-23 at the break, but they came out firing in the second half. They outscored the Falcons 26-12 in the third quarter to take a 49-46 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Washington continued to roll in the fourth quarter, outscoring Seattle Pacific 28-16 to secure the victory.
The Huskies improved to 2-0 on the young season with the win, while the Falcons fell to 0-2.
Washington will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the UC Riverside Highlanders at Alaska Airlines Arena.
