Andrew Mangiapane Scores Twice, Capitals Beat Kraken 5-2
Washington's offense comes alive in the third period to secure victory

Andrew Mangiapane scored twice in the third period to lead the Washington Capitals to a 5-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night.
The Capitals trailed 2-1 entering the third period, but Mangiapane tied the game with a power-play goal just 1:09 into the frame. He then gave Washington the lead for good with another goal at 10:24.
Dmitry Orlov and Nicolas Aube-Kubel also scored for the Capitals, while Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves in the win. Jared McCann and Jordan Eberle scored for the Kraken, and Philipp Grubauer made 30 saves.
The Capitals have now won two of their last three games, while the Kraken have lost two of their last three.
